“Iran is something else…” were the words I kept repeating to myself with as I crossed into each new region of the country, and experienced each new city our guide introduced us to. Coming from America, a lot has been said about the country, but none of it attempts to capture the beauty of the geography or the kindness of the people.
I’m glad I didn’t listen to the news and made the journey to experience what was once the cradle of civilization. I recommend everyone to visit Iran, and Persian Gryphon is the best tour company to use if you want to see the best of Iran in style and comfort. The company provides everything you need, so all you have to do is show up. My friends and I booked a nine day journey through the country, but we felt so welcomed by our tour guide it honestly felt like taking a roadtrip through a foreign country with your friends. We visited the major cities of Iran, explored the desert, and marveled at ancient historical sites like Persepolis.
As you head to the airport, at the conclusion of journey, “Iran is something else…” will be your finals words before going home.
In April 2023 I left Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) for an unforgettable trip to Iran, organized by the Time for Travel agency in Brazil and the Iranian Tour Operator Persian Gryphon Travel Group “PGTG”. From arrival and reception in Shiraz, I was treated with a rare mix of friendliness and professionalism.
My guide, Ali Edraki, was a gentleman in every way and soon became a friend that I still have today, almost two years later. The trip started from the South towards the North. In addition to Shiraz, I visited Persepolis, Pasargada, Yazd, Nain, Isfahan, Abyaneh, Kashan, Qom and Teheran. Throughout the entire journey, Ali Edraki went out of his way to take care of my safety and provide the best possible care to all my interests. It was a private tour, which favored a certain freedom of improvisation with the times and the itinerary itself.
Persian Gryphon was efficient and kind in everything necessary, including supporting my telephone and internet communications. But his greatest merit was appointing an extraordinary guide like Ali Edraki, capable of understanding the visitor’s desires in detail and making them come true.
The friendliness of the Iranian people is touching. Tourists are seen as a treasure for the country. I had a feeling of complete safety on the tours and in contact with vendors, waiters, hotel staff, etc. Iran is a welcoming and safe country for tourists. In addition to the fact that it is one of the most privileged places in the East in terms of architecture, natural landscapes, gastronomy and culture. A country of poets that is worth discovering at the hands of Persian Gryphon Travel Group.
In the spring of 2022 I had the pleasure to travel with one of Persian Gryphons tours. Together with my two friends, Tamara from the Netherlands and Obidi from America, we traveled from Shiraz to Tehran in a two week trip with our amazing female guide Shahin.
We all had the time of our lives and I think for all of us, Iran was the most special trip we had in our lives. The people are the friendliest and most intelligent people I have ever met and really made my trip. Iranian people love to have good conversations, are honest and welcoming. Even before the trip started, in the plane to Theran, we had some great conversations and were invited to someone’s home.
Another thing I loved was the great and rich history of Iran. We got to learn so much of the Persian empire, which was one of the greatest and most open minded of all time, by visiting Persepolis and the tomb of Darius the great.
And not to forget the architecture of the mosques with all of the beautiful details in tiles, painting and woodwork. And not to forget the food was sooooo good!
I really hope many other people can ignore the stereotypes one has of Iran (which you’ll find out are not true!) and go visit it. It is really breathtaking how much beauty there can be find in both cultures sites as the people themselves.
